Comfort & Care For The Elderly & Disabled
Caregivers East Rand, which operates in Boksburg, Benoni, Brakpan and Springs is led by Chris Mortimer, who is ably assisted by Jenny Lynes (Dip. General Nursing & Midwifery) and a team of skilled Caregivers.
Part of a group - Caregivers RSA (established in 2007) providing home-based elderly and disabled care, so that people could stay in their homes, which is often the most comfortable and most therapeutic environment.
Home-based care, also called “caregiving” or “assisted living for seniors,” is a safe, personal and comforting alternative to nursing homes. Our services enable the elderly to retain an optimum degree of independence and dignity, thus reducing unnecessary stress for the individual and their family. It is also important to note that we are not mere labour brokers - we offer a Caregiving service. Management maintains a hands-on approach and closely monitors the welfare of the client, as well as the Caregiver's performance.
Our carefully screened, selected and fully-trained Caregivers provide a wide range of non-medical services, such as:
- Light laundry
- Basic housework
- Meal preparation
- Medication reminders
- Post hospitalisation care.
Most importantly, our Caregivers provide a level of companionship that prevents our customers from feeling isolated and lonely.
Where available, our professional visiting nurses are able to provide a wide range of basic care for those patients with a change in medical condition, or a recent discharge from a hospital or other care facility.
We are dedicated to providing the best individual healthcare available. Our goal is to maximize the health, independence, and comfort of our patients and their families.
